Kayla & Nicholas

Kayla and Nicholas’ story began just a week after she started a new job.  It was a love story that she thought almost didn’t happen.  She was reassigned to work in a new building where she met Nicholas.  And at the time, Kayla didn’t realize this, but it was just two days after his father had passed away.  She can’t help but think that his father knew they were destined for one another. 

The wedding day began early in the morning with Kayla and her Bridesmaids getting ready at a cabin on-site at The Glen.  And Nick and his Groomsmen were gathered at the Roanoke Hotel enjoying some time around the pool table.  They decided to have a First Look down by the pond that the cabin overlooked in front of the bridal party.  

This first look was such a glimpse into their relationship and how much they cared for each other.  Kayla surprised Nick by having a blue “L” sewed on the inside of her dress with a piece of Nick’s fathers favorite blue shirt as a surprise.  It was a touching moment felt by everyone.

After the first look, we were able to capture some amazing footage of Kayla and Nick along with the bridal party and their sweet Labradoodle Harper.

Everyone then made their way up to the ceremony site just outside the reception venue. The sun was started to set, and it made for one of the most epic scenes seeing them share their vows with one another.  The guests all moved into cocktail hour, and we were able to get some of the best golden hour video ever!  The sun peeking over the horizon and a slight breeze ran through the valley leaving us with such an amazing backdrop to capture them moments after they became husband and wife.

We then made our way into the Reception to capture their grand entrance, first dances, and heartfelt toasts by Kayla’s Parents, the Best Man (Nick’s Brother), and Kayla’s Maid of Honor’s (her two best childhood friends). The couple danced the night away and were celebrated by everyone as they made their grand exit through a line of sparklers.
